This memorial website was created in the memory of sweet precious Elijah Simpson. He passed away on March 30, 2007 at the age of 4 in a motel room in Indianapolis, Indiana. Elijah was beaten and murdered by his mother's boyfriend Christopher Montgomery age 23. Little Elijah was hog-tied, made to stand in a corner for 4 hours and was thrown to the floor because he was falling asleep then put to bed all because he was sucking his thumb! He was found dead the next morning. He had restraint marks on his wrists and ankles and a skull fracture.
Elijah has been a little fighter from his first day of life. He was only 2 pounds when he was born and he was a growing and thriving little boy!
Elijah's mother, Courtney who is 2 1/2 months pregnant wasn't able to attend his funeral because she is in also in jail for his murder. The news said she just stood by and watched her son be beaten and murdered! Why would a mother let someone hurt her baby and let it go on till it is too late?
I want Elijah to be remembered I have a 4 year old Son and this story really touched me I also want Elijah to know people do care about him. Elijah has a little 5 year old brother Casey, this is for him also, hope Casey remembers the fun times with his brother and not the torture they have received.

When I watch all the Beautiful Butterflies they bring a smile to my face
Each of them flying around my garden each one so full of Grace
These are the little moments when I find Solace and Peace
When I see all these perfect Butterflies my Heart finds some kind of release

Release from all the hurting all the tears deep inside
Somehow watching the Butterflies, I feel my Angel by my side
I watch them fly so high they seem to look back and know
That I need a closer look at them so they put on a show

They are so full of beauty that others fail to see
Are these Butterflies sent from Heaven have they really been sent to me?
